Jojoba oil is used in both Enliven and Glow. One of my favorite oils. In fact, Jojoba oil is not technically an oil at all. It is actually a wax substance that is extracted from the beans on a jojoba shrub. One of the main reasons that I like Jojoba is because it resembles the sebum of skin which makes it very easy for your skin to absorb making it very effective for moisturizing.
Historically, jojoba oil has been used to prevent infection as well as treat it because of it's anti-bacterial properties. It's also an anti-inflammatory, often used to reduce redness or swelling of the skin. Jojoba oil is loaded with Vitamin E, which is always a plus especially for mature skin.
Jojoba oil is one of those rare ingredients that can be super effective treating acne, dry skin, and oily skin. For acne, it's non greasy and an anti septic which means it won't clog those pores, or strip too much of your natural oils. Many drug store acne treatments either have animal fats, which will clog your pores, or they have so many chemicals that it just strips your skin of all natural oils. For dry skin, it's easily absorbed and will leave your skin soft and smooth. The reason it works for oily skin, is because oil dissolves oil. Since jojoba so closely resembles your skins natural sebum, it can be used to regulate your skins oil production.
I know, it seems magical. I honestly think it is. I love the really subtle scent that it has, and I just adore how amazing my skin feels after using it. Jojoba oil is beneficial for so many uses. Don't worry, i'll be incorporating it into many products in the future.
