Dear teenage me (and all teenagers listening),
It’s going to get better.
So please stop worrying.
That boy, or that girl, that pimple, that exam, those clothes, those popular people, that assignment, that party; none of it is going to matter in 5 years. Heck, none of it matters. Period.
If you can do anything at this moment in time,
Enjoy the freedom,
enjoy the lack of responsibilities,
enjoy the care free-ness,
enjoy the new opportunities,
enjoy and embrace the FUN,
because by constantly looking ahead,
by focusing on the things you want,
rather than what you have or what you are,
you’re missing out on what’s in front of you.
And that body of yours?
You may not be the best of friends with it at this time,
but one day, you will realize how incredible it is.
How worthy it is to be respected, loved and properly nourished.
And what a miracle YOU ARE.
One day, you’ll probably even look back at pictures,
and wonder why you stressed so much about your body,
and that there was actually nothing wrong with it.
You’ll probably wish you had that body back,
but when you do,
remember that the body you have in front of you now,
is just as miraculous, capable and worthy.
Try your best not to compare (it’s the thief of joy).
Don’t worry about finding your life partner.
YOU’VE. GOT. TIME.
The amount of followers you have,
is really just a number; like a number on the scale,
but it doesn’t define your worth.
Girl, you are an INCREDIBLE force with so much potential.
Don’t let your limiting beliefs stop you from going after what you want in life.
Play by your own rules and fuck doing things because you think you “should”.
Make your decisions out of love, rather than fear,
and your heart will lead you where you were always meant to go.
