You’ve got so much to be thankful for.
When you were 16 you dreamed of living in a cute studio apartment with exposed brick walls and ample natural light. You wanted to work hard and make a difference in the world. You wanted to wear a suit, or at least play dress up because your appearance is your first impression to people.
Your mission was to love people well and wholeheartedly.
You were insecure about a lot of things, but you thought you’d have things all figured out by the time you were 23. You’d grow out of your cute studio apartment. You’d get married and make some babies and have a golden retriever. You’d be set. You’d be happy.
What you didn’t know at the age of 16 was that you would grow up to be a strong, independent woman. Someone who, at the age of 27, is living in a cute studio apartment with ample natural light. Someone who has a really great job. She is creative. She is making a difference in the world, just not the same kind of difference she expected to. She is sensitive and cares for people deeply. And she is so happy.
She now knows that dreams are made, and in time come to realize how much bigger than her they can become. And that is a truly beautiful thing.
Baby girl, you’ve got so much to be thankful for. So much to be proud of. So much more learning to do. So much growth will take place. Be patient.
