Hello Belles,
I have had a lot of messages asking about my personal beauty routine since our post explaining that we don't Photoshop skin in our pictures. So here it is: my step by step beauty routine!
When I wake up, I splash cold water on my face. This helps me wake up and feel refreshed. I don't like to do a heavy cleanse in the morning, as I just did one before going to sleep. After patting my face semi-dry, I put a pea sized amount of Glow on my hands, rub together and then pat onto my face. I then start to rub it in giving myself a little facial massage in an upward motion. I also, always put sunscreen on. My favorite natural brand is Badger Balm USA. Sometimes I put some W3LL PEOPLE mascara on, or RMS "un" cover-up. If I am wearing makeup that day, I like to let the Glow set in for about 3-5 minutes before applying anything but most days lately I am makeup free. I like to use makeup for fun dress up occasions, but I don't like to wear it daily. I started experimenting with this, when I was researching the 5:2 Diet, which I will be posting about in more detail next week.
In the evening, my cleansing routine consists of splashing a little water on my face, using a pea sized amount of Enliven and rubbing it all over my face. Enliven will take off any makeup or grime from the day. I like to spend about 1 or two minutes really massaging it into my skin. I then rinse of with lukewarm water. I use a dampened face cloth to get rid of any excess oil. Do this gently, you don't want to pull at your skin. I go into detail about the Lou La Belle Cleansing Method here. In the cold winter months when skin is prone to being dry, I use Glow at night, but for the rest of the year I don't put anything on my skin after cleansing other than occasionally using a toning mist. After that, it is goodnight world.
As always don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, you can comment here, via email, or on social media!
